2002 Hussey & Co is sold to Waytemore Investments NZ.
Development of an industry leading triple-wash system.
2005 Development of an industry leading triple-wash system.
2006 Jeremy Haw, Managing Director, purchases Hussey & Co.
2007 Hussey & Co focuses on building the export market, supplying 10 international markets and commences supply to the international airlines Singapore, Cathay, Malaysian, Thai and Qantas.
Purchase of the first 140-acre farm in Newry, Gippsland. Hussey & Co has continued to develop land in Gippsland with a further 6 farms.
Hussey & Co is the first Australian salad grower to invest in optical sorting technology, using infra-red cameras to grade the salad processing line at ultra-high speed, dramatically improving product quality.
2014 Development of on farm Vacuum Cooling.
2014 Weigh-head technology installed, upgrading processing capacity.
2014 Domestic retail supply commences with major supermarkets.
Installation of the world’s largest air-drying tunnel to precisely control product moisture levels, improve shelf-life and food safety
2015 Hussey & Co develops its Cold, Clean and Dry Processing System.
2016 Reverse Osmosis Technology is installed.
Hussey & Co develops the largest Solar Farm on the Mornington Peninsular – offsetting 100% of its peak daytime energy use. This sustainability initiative will continue reduce Hussey & Co’s environmental footprint by more than 945 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, for 25 years.
2018 Hussey & Co receives the Governor of Victoria Export Award and is a national finalist in the Australian Export Awards (Agribusiness).
Recipient of the Victorian Grower of the Year Award in the AUSVEG Industry Awards.
2019 Hussey & Co receives the Excellence in Innovation Award in the Food & Fibre Gippsland Excellence in Agribusiness Awards.
Recipient of the Excellence in Exporting Award in the Food & Fibre Gippsland Excellence in Agribusiness Awards.
2020 Processing facility expansions include the installation of a second production line, enabling 24-hour processing.
Hussey & Co acquires and develops additional farmland in Gippsland Victoria.
Hussey Group is established as national grower-processor model, with 6 national farms and ready-to-eat processing facilities on both the east coast and west coast of Australia to meet growing demand in retail, wholesale and export markets.
